SueLinn
I have roxio version 6 and have been trying to upload a video to use in a photoshow. It was in .flv format so i converted it to .mov format which Roxio says it supports, but it keeps saying it cannot download it. Any suggestions? sknis
Download the desktop version of PhotoShow to your computer. Make your PhotoShow with the downloaded version. When it is done, upload it to your members page. There are many things wrong with PhotoShow and Roxio/Corel doesn't seem to be willing or able to fix them (old technology). You just have to use the work arounds that people post. Remember that once you have a PhotoShow done, you can make a file and upload it to something like YouTube. You just have to keep the PhotoShow short or opt for the ability to upload longer videos to YouTube. When renewal time arrives, think long and hard about renewal. There are many other alternatives inclusing building you own web site.
pingeyez2
Sue Lin and others, please be informed that the video exploits just don't work. Yes, it promises and I have been in contact with support for years that all video formats are accepted. One techie knows there is a problem and nothing can be done, period. Roxio worked in the past, then just quit with videos. Try what Digital Guru suggests with the desktop version. In the meantime, I'm using (Name removed) and it's $10 less and works like a gem and has all the features of Roxio, and the app works wonders, too. I have Audio Video Converter that changed the video format( Roxio doesn't like avi) and it has worked, then it didn't. I just got an automatic renewal and cancelled immediately, so if you have that consider your needs and/or move on, unless you just want images, maybe Photoshow will work for you. Good luck. Typically recommending a program from a competitor that does the same thing as the Roxio one is not allowed. That program does not seem to have the same functionality as PhotoSHow. If people are interested, they can p,m. you. There are workarounds posted in several of the threads.
