Capture Application Won't Start

Question

Hi there,

 

I've just recently purchased this capture device, and I'm having a serious issue in getting the capture software to work insomuch that it doesn't........

 

I've uninstalled, re-installed and repaired the installation several time to no avail.

 

The launch pad runs fine, and the editing software starts without issues, but as soon as I click the 'Capture' button a small orange box that says 'Loading' quickly pops up and off without launching anything.

 

I've also tried launching the application independently from withing the Program Files folder, and it does exactly the same thing.

 

Is this just a dodgy installation disc?

Can it be fixed?

 

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming your PC meets the minimum specs, we might as well jump to the last step :lol:

 

This is extensive, but it what I suggest...

 

Create a New User Account with Administrator Privileges.

 

Turn OFF any A/V & Firewall.

 

Remove your RGC and set it aside until you are completely finished!

 

Reboot and log on to that new account.

 

Copy your entire disc to a new folder on your HDD.

 

In that new folder, right click on Setup.exe and select Properties.

 

Under the Compatibility tab, make sure
nothing
is checked!

 

Right click Setup.exe and select Open.

 

Allow it to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio not Windows)

 

Use the Default Locations!

 

Skip NOTHING!

 

Add NOTHING!
