Fuzzy Screen

Hey people, i have just ordered a roxio game capture device off ebay and received it today. So far i have followed multiple tutorials including the ones that are on the cd, applied the service 1 patch, tried the 'repair' trick and so far nothing has worked for the hd recording, my preview remains black and slightly fuzzy with a green No Signal despite using 1080i mode on xbox, and attempting the other various output options (720 etc)

 

Whats strange is that it works when the xbox to roxio device connector is set to TV, but not HDTV, and also i don't receive signal to my tv on HDTV mode either.

 

I will attach a dx diag so you can check the specs of my computer, i think it is decent enough to run the software as it does actually work, just not in the way i would like it to.

 

If you have any ideas please don't be afraid to step forward - as i have already said i have attempted multiple youtube fix's, fix's provided on this forum and either i have missed something or the stress of the situation has got to my head! haha.

So which device did you get: the standard "Roxio Game Capture for Consoles: or the "Roxio Game Capture HD Pro"?

They are 2 separate devices and only one does HD.

Hi, sorry i thought i mentioned it. I have the Roxio Game Capturefor consoles, none hd version. I am to understand it works upto 1080i which i don't mind as i can only upload 720p videos anyway due to current net speed.

That device does not caprture in HD, the best you get is 720x480

Ok, and thank you for the reply. But the problem is still occurring with 720p, any ideas?

Hi, using the roxio capture for consoles the preview and exported video file is extremely fuzzy. The connections are all correctly in place and my tv image is fine. The image only comes through when set to 'tv' and i was to understand the HDTV option should work aswel but that's sort of by the by, my worry is the fact im set to 1080i mode like the tutorials have listed and my preview has color leak, distortion and slight fuzzyness (almost like soft static)

 

Any help?
