Bought Toast Pro. Where Is Sonic Fire?

KAM2

Question

I purchased and downloaded Toast Pro. I have the Adobe Photoshop, Photomagic and all programs that come with the upgrade. I am unable to find the actual program Sonic Fire? I'm using a MAC. Any recommendations? Is there anyway to reinstall just this extra??

It's been a long time since I did this download so I don't remember how it was bundled. I recall there being a separate disc image that had the bundled audio files for use with Sonic Fire. I also recall going to the smartsound.com site and downloading the sonicfire application there because it was a newer version. Presuming you have the registration key for it then I suggest getting it from smartsound.

My original Toast 11 Mac download, Toast_11_Pro_1100_669.dmg, has a Sonicfire Pro 5 Installer (amongst others). The upgrade I downloaded for Toast 11.1, Toast_11_Titanium_11.1(1067).dmg, has only a Toast installer and nothing else.

That is correct. The updater has only the standard Toast bundle of apps but it includes the same Toast app as is in the Toast Pro bundle. So you need to install everything from the Toast Pro bundle and then do the update to Toast from the download on the software updates page. Don't put the Pro-extra apps inside the Toast 11 Titanium folder in your Applications folder or they'll probably disappear when you run the update installer. The exception is the Blu-ray plugin which is retained even after you update Toast from the software update.

What you may also want to do is check the developer's sites for the extra apps to see if there is a free update to the version provided in the Toast Pro download. There also may be discounted upgrades, too.

I posted some tips about the Toast 11.1 update in a topic pinned at the top of this forum
