"no Signal" In Green Letters?

Linkin

Question

I've had the Roxio Game Capture HD Pro for a few months now. Up until today, it was working great. Today I wanted to capture so I turned my laptop on, opened the software, and instead of letting me capture, it came up with "No Signal" in green letters. I have everything hooked up correctly so I don't know what the problem is. Here is what it looks like:

Help would be great :)

The GREEN indicates it does not SEE or Recognize the RGC Capture Device...

I is possible, that a zelious Reg Cleaner has broken the Drivers...

Next step for you would be a proper repair to see if that will put everything back!

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

When you reach the screen where
Repair
is offered, choose that!

When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

Are you talking about using the repair option on the Roxio software? I'll try that and get back to you when I do

The INDENTED portion of text in Post #2, is the proceedure you are to follow...

Don't get creative, it won't work ;)

I tried what you said and it didn't work unfortunately :( Do you have any other things that I could try?

I used the repair option in Roxio.

I checked for updates, but I already have the latest version.

Sure, let's go to the last resort proceedure

You never have listed your Lap's Specs... It is possible it can't even run on your machine  (not likely but we will not know until you provide the info, like I have in my sig block)

In any case here is that last try:

Download and install the
Uninstaller. Then run it in
Moderate Mode
to remove any traces of Roxio.

Create a New User Account with Administrator Privileges.

Turn OFF any A/V & Firewall.

Remove your RGC and set it aside until you are completly finished!

Reboot and log on to that new account.

Copy your entire disc to a new folder on your HDD.

In that new folder, right click on Setup.exe and select Properties.

Under the Compatibility tab, make sure
nothing
is checked!

Right click Setup.exe and select Open.

Allow it to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio not Windows)

Use the Default Locations!

I've runned it before, I said I've had it for few months working fine up until now. But I can tell you my specs if you need it.

Processor: Pentium ® Dual-Core CPU

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit

System Model: Inspiron 1545

DirectX Version: DirectX 11

Are you basically saying I should try re-installing? I've tried that already and it didn't work. If that's not what you meant, sorry, I'm really not the best with computers :P

Oh and if this matters at all, I re-installed Windows 7 a few weeks ago.

No...

What I laid out was a specific Step-By-Step process for you to follow!

If you don't do that, it isn't going to work.

Sorry, like I said, I'm not very good with computers so I don't know if I did something wrong. But after trying to follow your steps the best I could, it still has the problem :(

Yes! The, two heads better than one approach, really does work, used it many times

Any change in the color of the "No Signal"??? (if it changed to Red that would be better)

Also??? :glare:

If you open your Device Manager (Win-Pause, upper left corner) it should look like this with NO errors or warnings showing anywhere:
