Question

Recorded live music rehearsal to wav files into a digital zoom2n then recorded to Roxio basic sound editor, the one that shows steps 1, 2, 3, in top left of its menu, to break out 10 audio clips from that long one file. Saved to hard drive after with finish button.

The recorder indicator showed it was recording, fine, and once saved to the hard drive shows appropriate MB size under properties.

Problem, now those segmented wav files clips, that play fine in as part of the whole wave file on the zoom2n will not play from hard drive ?? Other wav files, not from this import, and mp3 files again, not from this import play fine from my hard drive.

Where is the link or icon on the Post menu to attach files? wanted to attach one of the wav files that does not play on this post

Thanks

You said you recorded to wav files. What was the bit and sampling rate? I used what ever the defaul was on the zoom wav file into the Roxio editor.

Where do I find the bit and sampling rate? Not sure of the terminolgy. Please give me an example of how it would appear?

What audio card do you have?

Where do I find that info also?

How did you get the audio from the recorder to your computer? Did you try the full sound editor?

Zoom2n Head phone port out to computer audio in. After no sound on the wav file tried to import(get file) into full sound editor, no sound waves would show in either applications, after learning no music was coming from wav file.

Thanks

Jim, ? another Roxio Guru, not sure if me reply/post went back to him, not sure I responded correctly, regarding attaching one of the 10 wav files not playing; for me to use "Other Options" to find the paper clip that indicates ability to attahc a file. Can you help me please, I can't seem to find the right menu so I can attach a non working wav file...

You never answered if the recorder was the one in the link (above)? Why didn't you use the software that came with the recorder? (Steinberg's WaveLab LE 7 can be used for audio editing and professional-quality mastering. By using its precise waveform editing and high-quality processing, you can refine your recordings into finished works)

Why did you use the headphone? You transfer using the USB port. ( Use the H2n's High-Speed USB 2.0 interface to transfer files to your Mac or PC. Once your recordings are on your computer, you can easily store, edit, playback and share your favorite creations.)

To find out the audio information, click on the music file you downloaded to your computer (before any processing) and look at properties and then details. That will give you the information.

You can find your audio card by searching for Windows Device Manager and looking for the audio device.

My suggestion is to spend some time with the recorder instruction manual before you go further. You need to get the audio files onto your computer correctly FIRST.
