Cannot Capture

[Rawrasaurusism]

Status is a green "Ready". Whenever I click capture, it turns into a red "No signal" and also displays a random amount of time on the time elapsed counter, then after about 5 seconds turns green again and says "Capturing..." but the time on the count does not move, and cancelling the capture produces no file.

Yes, Roxio Game Capture Card HD Pro. I forgot to clarify that, oops.

I was looking through the archives and I found somebody else who had the same problem... They mentioned that making it full screen magically fixes the problem and it did the same to me. I made it full screen and it records more than .22 seconds.

 

The problem still remains... why can't I record without going full screen?

In Post # 3 you appear to have resolved your issue by running the program is full screen. Is that correct?

Ahh!

I had looked for answers in previous topics but didn't find anything at that time. That's when I created a new topic. I decided to keep digging and found "Rawrasauruism" having the same problem.

That's as far as connections to "Rawrasauruism" though.

 

I'm not him though (it's irreverent regardless.) Unless he said some mean stuff (I take it he must of upset some peeps if you're referring the member as a "he/she/it") then I don't think any connect the dots will do anybody any good.

 

And yes! making it fullscreen does let Roxio actually record gameplay. I still rather it work properly though... I haven't tried the repair solution you had advised "Rawrasauruism" so I'll start there I suppose. The only thing that could of caused this was an improper installation?
