Using Roxio Easy Dc & Dvd Burning Software

cbubba

Question

I just purchased roxio easy cd & dvd burning software and it is far form easy for me to use. It is most frustrating for someone who is not computer wise. I was told at Best Buy that this was an easy software for me to take a video movie file of my children saved to my "c" computer drive and burn it to a DVD-R disk. Can anyone help a 74 year old man through a step by step process to do this???

Hello,

Here is the Easy CD & DVD Burning Getting Started Guide. It's a PDF file so you will need a PDF reader on your computer.

EasyCD_DVDBurning_GSG_ENU.pdf

If you go through that carefully you should have everything you need, but if there is anything you need to know which is not mentioned in there just pop back to this forum and ask.

Brendon,

Thank you so kindly for the information.

I purchased the Roxio Easy CD and DVD Burning software from Best Buy. I became so frustrated with this program that I returned it to Best Buy. After receiving the PDF file Getting Started Guide I may go back and purchase the software once again. My computer skills are limited mostly by my age and ability to understand computer programs like my 12 year old grandson. What I was attempting to do was burn a DVD of my grandson's 1st birthday which is stored on my computer hard drive. I thought the Roxio Easy CD and DVD Burning software would be easy to use because it used the word "easy" in the program title. Once I installed the program on my computer I was never able to find instructions as to how to complete the buirning process. I went to the Roxio website and downloaded a PDF file that was supposed to instruct me as to how to burn the video file that is stored on my computer to a DVD-R disk. The PDF file you suggested appears to be much more detailed so I am considering to go back to Best Buy and purchase the software program once again. As mentioned above my age (74) limits my computer skills and the older one gets the shorter my patience get.

Do you know if Roxio Central is part of the Roxio Easy CD & DVD Burning software? Once again thanks for your reply and I plan to go back and purchase the program once again and see if I can follow the instructions you suggested to complete my project.

Have a great day,

Roxio Central is the menu or 'Home' page of Easy CD & DVD Burning. It is described on page 8 and following pages of that manual.

You click in the left column on the category of work you want to do [Audio, Data, Copy, Photo, Video etc] and a bunch of menu items for that work shows on the page to the right.

I don't ever use 'Mini Mode' myself.

Regards,

Brendon
