I think the OP may be talking about this Mercedes System. It says it plays video DVD but no information on audio DVD.

To the OP, what does your manual say about the type of DVD it will play. Is there an online manual that you can link to so we can read about it?

I believe he is talking about the BMW Command System (called iDrive)

First off Creator doesn't make a true Audio DVD.It makes a DVD that is only music (a soundtrack) and menus.

So it doesn't matter if the player plays an audio dvd or not.

What does matter is if it plays what is basically a video DVD.

IF this is the Mercedes Command System then the manual says it should. But there are disclaimers.Page 151 of the manual says it may not play all discs so beware.

There are also various settings for getting the audio right for the disc.

I made two discs. One using Roxio DVD Music Disc Assistant and a second using Music Discs Creator.

Both produce a disc that is recognized as a standard video DVD by Windows and Power DVD.

Looking at the discs in File Explorer both have standard Audio_TS and Video_TS folders.

To me that means if the player plays Video DVD's then the disc should work.Providing that is that the player will play a recorded DVD and not just a commercial one.

The Mercedes manual doesn't mention created discs only copied ones.

I did this years ago and filled the DVD. A older JVC settop player would not play the disc, it had to do with the navigation with 99 songs/files to a folder/vob. A newer DVD player did play the same disc.

Why I asked the OP about his player.

I thought the OP asked about playing the "audio DVD" in his vehicle (a BMW) player not a desktop player. He stated that the DVD plays fine on his desktop player

He did, which is why CD is asking him about the player in his car.

There's obviously nothing wrong with the DVD, which leaves us asking if the player can't handle burned discs; or if it can't handle DVDs with too many tracks per VOB; or if it can even play video DVDs [which the Roxio disc is].

I personally suspect it's a CD player, but the OP has told us nothing about his car's player.

Regards,

Brendon
