Help Setting Up Hardware

hey,

i have my roxio hd pro setup to record xbox 360 gameplay on a pc with these components:

 

pentium D @ 2.8 GHz

3 GB Ram

Geforce 7900 Video Card

 

i did a fresh install of windows 7 32 bit. there is very little else running or installed on the pc. my question is this: is there any thing i can do to improve the performance of the pc so video playback is not glitchy? my cpu usage runs betwen 90 and 100% when capturing or editing video. perhaps there is another thread somewhere that i missed?

I think your CPU in a major issue

 

I am curious, what is your Windows Experience Rating (Win-Pause keys)???

 

Generally speaking, we see issues when it is mid 3.x range...

1) Defragment your computer.

2) Close other programs while in use

3) Use a registry cleaner

4) Cool your laptop if you're using one.

I do not agree with #3 Registry Cleaners do more harm then good. You really have to know what you are cleaning

I have never met a Registry Cleaner that did not do far more harm than good

 

Other than that those are things that may help.
