lifeofbirds
Hello, A simple question that I couldn't find anywhere on the forum... Can toast 11 burn a 5.1 audio dvd (from an AC3 file) WITHOUT a video file? Again I don't want video, just surround sound audio playback. If so, do I need Titanium or Pro? Thanks! 0 theoldarchiver
Can toast 11 burn a 5.1 audio dvd (from an AC3 file) WITHOUT a video file? Not really, but almost. Toast will try to create a playlist menu for audio-only files. You may add “album artwork” for each entry in a playlist; a black frame can be added for minimalist users. Clicking “Set Button Picture” will copy the artwork from the selected playlist item, making it black too. You can set “Auto-play disc on insert”, delete the text for the playlist, delete the menu title, set the three colors to black. Do keep a menu; the combination of “Auto-play disc on insert” and no menu will make the playback loop. Dragging a black picture to any chosen menu will make the background black. The result will be all black... almost the same as no video. If so, do I need Titanium or Pro? Titanium will give you the exact same features as Pro with regard to burning DVDs with 5.1 audio. The difference is bundled apps and the HD plug-in. Edited May 30, 2013 by theoldarchiver
0 tsantee
Something to try is holding down the option key while adding the .ac3 track to the Toast audio window. As I recall that used to work.
