Easy Vhs To Dvd Stopped Working On Windows 7

SydCrain

Question

Suddenly, my great Easy VHS to DVD (version "Build 201B23A ENU") stopped working on my Dell Windows 7 computer. I uninstalled and re-installed the Easy VHS to DVD program, but it refuses to find the VCR's signal. All lof a sudden! I know how this program works, I've used it for 2 years now. And I see that there is an upgrade discount for those with an old version to switch to the new Version 3. BUT none of the patches on this site work for this copy. It seems to have been created and then abandoned by Roxio! How do I know that the new $20 update to Version 3 is actually going to work??? Would I be wasting a valuable $20???

Please Help....

Build 201B23A in 4/2010. It too is compatible with XP, Vista and Win7. To date there is no Service Pack for this version.

You have the best version that was made.

With the software installed and the USB Capture Device plugged into the PC what drivers show in device manager under sound video and game controllers? Do you show any yellow exclamation marks and any listing under other devices?

I have been using Easy VHS to DVD also on Windows 7. It was working fine until today. Now when I start the program I get an error message: "Roxio Easy VHS to DVD has stopped working" and I am given an option to Debug or Close Program. The opening screen appears underneath the error message. If I drag the error message to the side, the program still works, but if I click an option on the error message the program closes. I have rebooted system and it still does the same. I also have the latest build. Windows did an update a few days ago, but the program was working fine AFTER the update until today. No other changes have been made to the computer. Any ideas?
