Video Stopped Working

I have VHS to DVD 3 on my Lenovo Laptop running on the Desktop since I have Win 8. Haven't had any problems and then in the middle of a video it stopped showing video. I can still hear audio so I thought it was tape. I have changed tapes twice and changed the cord too. My Roxio Video Adapters say they are working properly so I uninstalled them and reinstalled but still nothing. This is a new laptop so I have adequate room. Please help.

Does it still record the video or just record black screen with audio???

 

As it is a laptop, I would suspect a heat buildup. Make sure you are on AC Power and have it on a hard surface.

 

Otherwise there are no error messages?
