Cd Spin Doctor 3.1.1.304T Vs. Os 10.8.3

pixilated

Question

For some reason, Toast 7.1.3 seems to work fine (so far) on my iMac running OS 10.8.3. And, CD Spin Doctor 3.1.1.304t starts up and at least begins to do its usual stuff. However:

When I "Continue" CDSD and open the page that does the recording, with the Device Input, Input Source, and other settings, under the Recording Quality setting, I get "No Compatible Formats Found," and the field is grayed out. ( I get this whether or not the computer is hooked up to an audio source.) Additionally, the Record and Stop buttons are grayed out, as is the O.K. button next to the Cancel button at the bottom. So, no recording can take place as things stand.

The fact that Toast seems alive and well, and that CDSD starts up and does its normal thing to that point, gives me hope that I can actually make the thing go, despite its advanced age. However, the "No Compatible Formats Found" thing has me stumped, and I don't see much that's helpful on line. (Maybe I missed something in this forum, as I'm new here and haven't gotten through all of the archived messages.)

Does anyone know of this problem, or of what the possible causes for failure to locate compatible formats might be?

Thanks for any assistance.
