Edit Captured Video With No Project

starkravingmad

Question

Beginners problem: I am using Roxio Easy VHS to DVD 3 and I guess I recorded a video without setting a project name. Now I want to edit a large portion of the file out. The problem I am having is it will not recognize the file.

Is their a way to create a project and put the file into it so I can edit it? Any other ideas?

It seems to ask for a project to record a video and theni t asks again when exiting to edit later. Do I enter the same name for both inquires?

I do not know how I created the video with a project name but I managed to do it. Or maybe I deleted the project name and it left the video?

It appears that you are able to edit your saved VHS to DVD file using the VHS to DVD 3plus. How did you do that? I downloaded my Hi * vhs tape but now am not able to edit--at least I cannot find out where or how to do this.

Stop threadjacking; it is bad forum etiquette. Read your other post in the general area.

The editing in this program is limited to cutting out parts of the video that you don't want. It is not true non- linear editing that you had in your other program.

Did you click on "Import video" and then load the captured file assuming you kept track of where you saved that file. It will have the extension "mpg"
