"easy Vhs To Dvd Has Stopped Working" And Won't Open

I have Windows 7 and I installed the NEW Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus. It appears to install fine. BUT, when I click the desktop icon to open the program, I get a box that says "Easy VHS to DVD has stopped working"... It says that it is checking the internet for a solution but DOESN'T do anything. After a few seconds the box disappears! I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I have IE 9, I have DirectX 11, I have Shockwave and Flash, WHY is this new product that I just spent MONEY for NOT working???? NO exclamation marks are on any of the items in the Device Manager......

I am guessing this is an Upgrade from the 201B you were having the same issue with at the beginning of the month???

 

Let's try the proper repair first and see what it does:

 

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

 

Unplug your Roxio Capture USB Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

 

Now insert your Roxio Disc ~ You have EVD3 which is likely a download??? In that case right click the downloaded program and Run.

 

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

 

When you reach the screen where

Repair

is offered, choose that!

 

When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

 

If that doesn't work list your PC Specs, like I have in my sig block and a screen cap of your Device Manager with the USB Capture Device plugged in, would be nice. Info on posting pictures is HERE

Still not working. Attached are shots of the device manager list. I don't have a download of this program. It is the CD in the real box from an online store. The box and the CD say: "Roxio Easy VHS to DVD 3 PLUS". So I don't know what you meant about "it must be a download"??

Strangely, the AUDIO from the VCR is going through the computer even when the Easy VHS to DVD program is NOT in use....But the program refuses to open.

I cannot see any reason why it won't run on your PC...

 

You would be better off taking the matter up with Roxio.
