Cd Info

I like to compile music CDs for my own use, but I cannot seem to embed an Artist or Track information. I have followed the instructions as suggested by Roxio, but I have not been able to achieve results......When played, the only display I get is "Track 1, Track 2.....etc." Any suggestions???

What hasn't been made very clear in the CD world is the fact that there aren't many players which actually display the CD-Text without special add-ons. I don't know why this is so - perhaps it's another of those cool [and in this case useful] new ideas that not many software writers have bothered to implement.

 

You might well have succeeded in embedding the CD-Text into the disc, but you haven't used any software which will display it.

-For Windows Media Player there's an add-on called WMPCDText. It's free to download here: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=56780

-Another player which reads the CD and displays any text is the small and free HACP Player from here: http://hneel.home.xs4all.nl/software.htm

 

I'd suggest you get one or the other of these programs and see if you have managed to embed the CD-Text in your discs. If you haven't, please come back here and tell us.
