Toast Hangs At 30% Lead-Out

I am running Toast Titanium V 11.1 on Lion 10.8.3. Toast freezes at 30% lead write out. I tried this on a Mac Mini (same OS) same result. I am burning on a Memorex MRX-800LU V2. I have force quit the app - but the CD does mount correctly... Any one heard of this or???

Yes, some users have reported this experience. I haven't seen it, however. Are you running 11.1 (1067) or 11.1 (1072). I believe the latter was supposed to fix it. If you have an earlier version of Toast you can choose Save as Disc Image with 11.1 and burn the disc using the Image File setting in the Copy window of the earlier version. It might make a difference burning a disc image with 11.1 or possibly selecting a slower burn speed or using a different brand of blank discs. You might also check if the Memorex drive has a firmware update available. As you can tell, I don't have a known fix; just different things to try.

Rev says 11.1 0a1 ?? I appreciate the suggestions. I looked on line yesterday and did not see any f/w update at Memorex (will try again). Will see if I can find the 1072 version...

Your version is out of date. If choosing "Check for Updates" from the Help menu doesn't get you to the update (yours is a beta version so that may not have been active) you'll need to download the Toast 11.1 (1067) package from Roxio's Software Updates page. After launching that version then Toast should inform you of the 11.1 (1072) update.

Ok - fixed that (no idea how it got to that version) but on 1072 - problems still there. Guess it is the writer... thanks for your help!
