Question

My customer, Terry McFadden bought Roxio creator nxt 10/28/2012 order # sc-773218 w/backup disk. Bought new win 8 64bit computer a week ago (intel i3, 6G RAM, 1T HD), and asked me to setup and install programs for him. When I try to install Roxio, get error "LC36axdor13.exe is corrupt or invalid". Tried copying DVD to HD and install from there but get same result. Disk appears to be undamaged. What do You suggest I do now?

Did he save the download to the old computer? Can you copy that to a thumbdrive and install from there? Did he ever get that program running on the old computer? Is it the Pro version or the standard version? How big is the file?

I have the PRO version and I have that exe program except that it has a 14 rather than a 13 before the exe. The PRO is 1.55G so the one you have should be the same size or slightly smaller.

Look at the DVD; does it look like it is pressed or burned? If you were able to copy it, it should be OK. Make sure you are installing it to an Admin account and that you are NOT using any compatibility mode in W8.
