I'M thinking of purchasing The Toast 11 for my MacBook Pro. Will I be able to burn a DVD from my IMovie and will the DVD be able to play on all formats..DVD player etc.

I'm not sure what you mean by "all." If the DVD is in NTSC format it can only be played by a DVD player that support NTSC, and likewise for the PAL format. There are some DVD players that can play both NTSC and PAL. That is fairly common in PAL countries but very uncommon in NTSC countries. You also need to be aware that high-def videos don't play on any standard-def DVD players. Toast will encode high-def video to standard-def when making a regular video DVD.
