Whole Screen Glitches Out

Question

Hey, guys. I'm really perplexed right now.

For the last few months I've been using the HD Pro 2-3 times per week. The device was working exactly as I was expecting and I wasn't having any issues. Last friday, Geek Squad did a clean-up on my laptop and all of a sudden my capture card is no longer working the way it's supposed to. Whenever I open up the "capture" software, my whole computer glitches out. My whole screen blinks on and off and I'm not able to capture anything, or see anything below the top half of the screen.

Please help me out, my setup for capture has stayed exactly the same.

They are Soooo easy to poke fun at, Geek Squad, but they do help a lot of people ;)

This is extensive, but it what I suggest... But you have to do EVERYTHING and do it the Order listed!

First, any tweeks you might have done to your CPU and GPU (video card/chip) such as overclocking, video enhancements etc. - Set them back to Normal! - reboot

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Download and install the
Uninstaller. Then run it in
Moderate Mode
to remove any traces of Roxio.

Create a New User Account with Administrator Privileges.

Turn OFF any A/V & Firewall.

Reboot and log on to that new account.

Copy your entire disc to a new folder on your HDD.

In that new folder, right click on Setup.exe and select Properties.

Under the Compatibility tab, make sure
nothing
is checked!

Right click Setup.exe and select Open.

Allow it to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio not Windows)

Use the Default Locations!

We will keep our fingers crossed ;)
