Can anybody tell me how I can do that in Creator 2010? The program info tells me it can but I can't seem to find a specific output for conversion to MPEG-1. Thanks!! The only way I would suggest you try is to use MyDVD (Create DVD or whatever name is in your version) and select to make a Video CD (VCD). MPEG 1 is the format used in VCD which is pretty much obsolete in the US but is still used in some countries. Add the mpg2 (or VOB files) from the DVD video to MyDVD and output to an ISO file or Folder Set when you select to burn. You should be able to find and extract the mpeg-1 files from where ever you select to out the ISO ot Folders to. Remember that the amount of video allowed on a VCD is pretty short so you may run into issues. I tried this on one of my high definition videos and the program hung. I don't have time for it to continue. If you don't mind, since this is such an unusual request, why do you want to do it? Will the VCD be enough or do you really want the video file? I can't have the menus with music, etc., because it's to be played in court and they don't like that type of thing. It won't let me delete it. It also is giving me an issue about letting me burn to my hard drive instead of a disk. I have three videos to convert and one is about an hour and 15 minutes in length, so that could be a problem too I guess. If I just convert to MPEG-2 and change the file extension to mpeg would that work or am I asking for trouble? You can easily create a DVD without menus by selecting DVD, no menus at the start of a New project. What is the source of your original video? A file or a DVD? Do you want a video file or a DVD? And trust me, I don't insist on this format, the makers of the video/text synchronization software do. It has something to do with the codecs used on meg2/4 etc. not being compatible. I am using C2012 and it does not seem to have an option to create a mpeg1 file. What is the "video/text synchronization software" you are referring to? "Any Video Converter" is what he suggested, but there are many out there. Aside: It might be time for whoever is in charge of purchasing, to find a vendor who has software that fits the real world.
