Installation Interrupted. (Updating Component Registration)

Hey Everyone,


I purchased a Roxio HD Game Capture Pro about 2 weeks ago. At first, I would try to install it, and nothing would happen. I contacted Technical Support and they had no Idea what I was talking about. I hope that someone here can help me. Everything installs fine until it says "updating component registration." It sits on that for about an hour until it finally says that the installation was interrupted. Please help. I will attach my log files. Also, when I plugged in my HD capture into my computer, it said Installation Failed for that and does not recognize it as a device. Thanks.

Confirm that you are attempting to install the disc from a driver that is located ON the PC you are installing it on??? (there was mention of "Server" several times in your log)


This is extensive, but it what I suggest...


Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.


Create a New User Account with Administrator Privileges.


Turn OFF any A/V & Firewall.


Reboot and log on to that new account.


Copy your entire disc to a new folder on your HDD.


In that new folder, right click on Setup.exe and select Properties.


Under the Compatibility tab, make sure
is checked!


Right click Setup.exe and select Open.


Allow it to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio not Windows)


Use the Default Locations!
