Question

I have always used video tape to CAPTURE VIDEO. I have the old red, white and blue plugs in a vhs machine and plugged into the back of my computer. Today I need to access video stored on my computer for my CAPTURE VIDEO. right now Roxio only recognizes the vhs machine. I've got the video on my hard drive. How do I get Roxio to recognize it and begin to let me use it. Thank you for whatever you can teach me!!!

Hello,

CAPTURE is used to grab a feed from your VHS and put it onto the hard drive. You can't use CAPTURE to bring the hard disk files back into your Roxio program.

You haven't said which program you're wanting to use, or what you're wanting to do with the videos. However if you're wanting to burn them to DVD you'll need to use MyDVD or MyDVD Express [whichever of those you have]

In there, click the 'Add New Movie' button and then navigate to where your saved videos are stored. Select a movie, and click the 'Add' button.

That should bring your file into the program. From there, carry on and make a DVD.

Regards,

Brendon

Red, white and blue plugs? Don't you mean red, white and yellow? What capture device are you using when you capture from VHS?
