Vhs To Dvd 3 Plus Interrupt During Install

Just purchased this product and am trying to install on a new computer running Windows 8 Pro 64-bit. I have tried 4 times and keep getting the same error message about 3/4 of the way through the install - interruption caused the install to abort and no changes have been made to your system. I have run the setup as administrator. Also I tried copying the program to a usb harddrive and tried to install from that source and got the exact same results. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. The failure occures at the moment of DxLauncher_files part of the install. I am using a 64 bit HP laptop. I have tried moving the DVD files to my hard drive and running setup.exe with the the following in the run window: setup.exe disableProducts=DIRECTX_NOV07 manadatory=0. Still fails at the same location. I have attached my log file. Thanks for your help

Jim, The same as Steve. My log files didn't attach. It say's I cant attache that kind of file??? Do I need to turn it on somehow? Thanks Roger

It is just what I showed in my link...

 

Should only need the Setup.Log. You do need to click the "Attach this File" button (I left that out - sorry)

Jim, was able to get the attachment section and I and saw it upload my file. It came back and said I cannot attache that kind of file? .log

Have you update W-8 from Microsoft Windows update lately?

Make a new user account with administrator privileges and try a reinstall.
