Pixelated Preview Screen When Recording And When Not

Hey, I just received my Roxio HD pro and plugged it in and set it all up everything works fine except the qauilty of the video is terrible. It is flickering patches of pixles across the screen and lags. My laptop has 4GB RAM and 2.1GHz processor so more than meets the requirments. I have the programme running on its own and give the process high priority with no change to quality. My laptop is on a solid surface with a cooling fan.

Next we need to know how you have everything set up from your game box on with settings AND what are you playing?

The specifics are,

 

Processor - AMD Athelon dual core 2.1GHz

RAM - 4GB

Graphics Card - AMD M880G with ATI Radeon HD 4200

Win-Pause - 4.1

 

Im not playing any games, it does this on the xbox dashboard

...and how are you hooked up?

 

You also need to try using a completly different source ~ DVD or BD Player, ANYTHING that has HDMI or Component Out

Im hooked up through HDMI, its the same with both my DVD and BR players

May be there are many issues like HDMI cable may be fault or you can instaal windows 7 codec pack, change the output resolution or update your Bios.

 

If you did all these things then i am sure you will short out this problem.

Now the LAG in the capture preview window is Normal and cannot be changed!

 

Pixels should not be there!

 

Are they present with your Captured Files?

 

If so, try lowering your capture quality slider to see if it makes any difference...

I already have the codec pack and my bios is up to date.

 

Yeah its there on the captured videos and its there no matter where the slider is positioned

Have you looked through the pinned posts here... I just moved an older up a bit. It is about pixels etc.
