Video Copy And Convert

Hi All,

 

I've got a couple of DVD's for my daughter which I'd like to put onto my iPad2 for her to watch while we fly out on our holiday. I've got into "Video Copy and Convert", selected iPad2 etc and then selected the DVD drive with the DVD in it. The problem I have got is that all the content on the DVD is coming up with a padlock, anyone got any ideas why and how to get round this??

If those are commercial DVDs then the padlock may mean that the DVDs are copy protected and it may be illegal to make copies. Roxio software will not make copies of copy protected DVDs

If your (commercial) DVDs came with a "Digital Copy" option, you'll need to use that, and presumably it comes with a way to use it on your iPad. Otherwise, as Walt said, Roxio's software will not aid and abet the copying of protected discs.
