Question

I have the program installed on my computer and it works fine. Everything opens and runs perfectly. I just need setup help now. I have the Roxio HD itself, available HDMI cords, a cord for PS3 to component (this if all for Playstation 3 by the way), and a pure component cable. I have tried everything and I can for the life of me get it to work. No videos help me at all, I need like someone to video call on Skype or something to get this sorted out. Like I said, I have all needed cables and everything so I just need to get it setup.

Go here for the set up http://img.roxio.com...dpro_qsg_en.pdf

Also here http://www.youtube.c...oplay=1Â Â Â Â

Get back on here if you still need help.

It seems strange that you need help with the set up when you say in the first 2 sentences that "it works fine" and "runs perfectly".

When I said "its works fine" and "runs perfectly" I ment the program. I need a person to literally be on skype for a video call because I have looked at EVERY single video and instructional thing and I can't get ANYTHING to work.

Good luck with that :lol::D:lol:

Actually that is not a bad idea but not too likely to happen with us old timers ;)

You are very vague about what is not working...

With a PS3 you must use Component to the RGC Device!

Assuming you have normal color vision surly can manage to plug in the PR, PB & Y in the right order???

Let's concentrate on just getting something on your Capture preview window for now. The pass through - playback monitor can wait!

Also consider hooking up a DVD or BD Player with HDMI as a known good signal source ;)

Screen caps really help us too, info on posting, HERE

You cant use HDMI input when using a PS 3 console. The output to your TV is either HDMI or Component ...not both

In your picture of the Roxio capture card was the USB cable plugged into the computer when you took the picture, as the unit does not have the

blue light on.

Ok, so, I have removed the HDMI from the RCG device COMPLETELY and it is pure component (with the power USB). Plugged in the power USB and pulled up the record button. Playstation is running into my TV on component, I can hear and see it. But this is what my record screen says...

Great, it actally tell us a lot that we didn't know...

The combination of the bland Source & Input boxes along with the Green "No Signal" tells me the RGC Device is Not plugged into your computer

That means it is either not recognized or your USB port is not working.

The RGC Device itself cannot be powered seperately!

Nor will it work unless it is attached (usb) to a PC with the software installed ;)

Not going to work like that - EVER!

Actually, it is pretty easy to make right ^_^

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

When you reach the screen where
Repair
is offered, choose that!

When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.

OK this is all I got, if this doesn't work, you have exceed my knowledge!

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Download and install the
Uninstaller. Then run it in
Moderate Mode
to remove any traces of Roxio.

Create a New User Account with Administrator Privileges.

Turn OFF any A/V & Firewall.

Reboot and log on to that new account.

Copy your entire disc to a new folder on your HDD.

In that new folder, right click on Setup.exe and select Properties.

Under the Compatibility tab, make sure
nothing
is checked!

Right click Setup.exe and select Open.

Allow it to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio not Windows)

Use the Default Locations!
