I've been using Toast for years, and have never seen such problems as I have with Toast 11. It crashes constantly, it won't record fades, it's a mess. And I hate the $25 fee for support when I"ve spent so much on purchaseing the program through the years. I've gone back to Toast 8, which seems to runas well as it always has. (I run Toast on a MacBook Pro, OS 10.8.4, with 8GB of memory.)

Crashes are uncommon in Toast 11 based on my experience and what I've read here. So something is amiss. I suggest trashing the Toast plist and prefs files in your user>Library>Preferences folder and relaunching Toast. To access that library hold down the option key when selecting the Go menu in the Finder.
