Serial Number Issues



Hello, everyone. I recently joined the Roxio community and I've been browsing some other "issue" threads. I've yet to find a solution to my problem.


I recently bought a Roxio HD Capture Card off of Amazon.com from Roxio. When I go to install my software using the CD that came with the CC, I get to the part where I have to put in my serial number. When I go to do so, it says that it is invalid. I bought this NEW and not used. It does the same thing to the website.


Is there anything I could do?

I did some searching and ONE user reported that they got it fixed with this process:


Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.


Download and install the
Uninstaller. Then run it in
Moderate Mode
to remove any traces of Roxio.


Then turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.


Now insert your Roxio Disc.


Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)


When the Install competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.


But the next one I had try that said it didn't work...


So if you want to try that coin toss while we are waiting for Ralf :lol:
