Question About Preview Lag Before Purchase

Without recording, can you "full screen" and/or "maximize in a window" the preview video? Is there extra OSD info on that full screen like a record button or can you disable extra osd items? Is there any lag in the preview screen if not recording? Basically, would an xbox 360 be playable on the computer monitor fullscreen if not recording?

1) Yes, you can activate the fullscreen function. Luckily there is no additional infos appearing on the screen. Only your gameplay is there.

 

2) Unfortunately, no. I have yet to hear a capture card that allows you to play directly on the computer that's being used.

Thanks for the reply. Not able to play xbox 360 with video output to the Game Capture HD Pro because there is still 2 seconds of lag in the preview video even when not recording? I was trying this out last night on a cheap $30 Hybrid HDTV USB stick that also has composite video (yellow) in and it worked fine when I hooked the xbox up to it. The was a tiny bit of lag when recording but no noticable lag at all when not recording. Only the ArcSoft software that came with it does not allow for a full screen window while in preview. I was able to get it to be full screen by opening capture device in VLC Player but it added a little bit too much lag. I am just looking for something with a full screen preview and better resolution than the cheap usb stick I used last night.
