Downgrading When You Started At 11.1?

Hi all. Earlier this year, I got the new Toast. My installer file is the 11.1 (1072) version with the unacceptable burn speeds. I didn't do my homework before and didn't realize that this was the case.

 

Anyhow, I am seeing that people are suggesting to downgrade, but CAN you downgrade when the installer you started at is the current available version and not upgraded to that version? I've never not had 11.1 (1072) in other words. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You'd have to find a version of Toast 11 from somewhere, as Roxio only offers a current update on their downloads site. You also could choose Save as Disc Image and then change the .toast extension to something like .dmg or .iso and see if it burns faster using Apple's built-in disc burning tools.

That's kind of what I suspected, since I started right at 11.1. Ugh. Can't believe it has been this long and they haven't fixed it yet.
