Output To Tv Not Supported Format. Xbox360

I have recently purchased this device and hooked it up HDMI input and output to TV. It shows the Xbox on the roxio software, but on the TV it says to change the source resolution. I go into the settings inside the roxio software and it gives me only 1 source resolution which is set to 480i.

 

I am using a 40" philips TV which supports up to 1080p.

 

Any help is appreciated, if any more information is needed i'll try my best to supply it.

My Xbox hdtv settings are set to 1080p

 

When connecting the xbox directly to the TV through HDMI there is no issue.

Try 1080i, and see what happens.

Right, as grandpabruce said, try 1080i. The game capture device doesn't support 1080p, so your XBox, though set for 1080p, may be changing it's settings to something the game capture device can handle. 1080i would be the highest supported resolution.
