Xbox 360 Hardware Issue

Question

Hello, everyone. This is my second problem that I have had with Roxio GCP. First was it wouldn't install. I finally fixed that by reformatting my system. But, today I have a different problem.

First off, I want to make sure I am plugging the GCP in correctly.

- I should have the power cable plugged into the GCP and the USB end into my PC.

- One HDMI, with Roxio facing me, plugged into my GCP and into my Xbox 360 Console.

- A different HDMI plugged into my monitor.

I hope that is correct.

Now, here is the big problem.

I use a DVI/HDMI combo because I can't afford to buy a new monitor with 2-5ms and HDMI port that hosts up to 1080p.

When I plug everything in and hit the input on my monitor, I can see the Xbox in my GCP software, but the monitor will not show it.

I have a Acer H213H, if that helps any. Would really like some insight on this.

A couple of specs I looked at seem to imply that the Acer H213H accepts HDMI input???

I am guessing you looked

We have seen that the HDMI - DVI adapters have proven pretty iffy...

I assume it works OK if you hook up the HDMI to your PC then through the DVI adapter to your Monitor?

First thing I would make sure of is to cycle through the monitor input choices and make sure it is set to DVI and not some Auto sensing!

Then try another adapter, one that will pass along HDCP.

IS there any other DVI device around that you can test on?

As of right now, I am using the DVI/HDMI combo to use my xbox on my monitor. it looks crystal clear and works perfectly. I use my input button and go through my monitor's menu to put it on DVI. Neither works when using the Roxio GCP. I only have this DVI device. Not sure what HDCP is.
