Al MacL
I have large video files that I am trying to save as data on Blu Ray. I'm using Toast 11.1 for Mac and the discs are BD-R Memorex. It keeps ejecting these discs. Any ideas?
0 d_deweywright
Probably sounds like a silly question, but you do have a Blu Ray recorder? Have you tried any other brands of disc successfully? Memorex discs are usually considered the "bottom of the barrel" brand (cheap and unreliable). In any case, that's the easiest thing to check, by getting a couple discs of different brands.
0 Al MacL
Thanks Dave, Are you saying I need to hook up a Blu Ray recorder to burn discs on my Mac?
0 d_deweywright
Well, there's no way to write to a Blu Ray disc, without a Blu Ray recorder. Blu Ray and DVD are totally different formats, and a DVD Recorder won't have a clue about how to handle a Blu Ray disc. If what you have is a DVD recorder, it will simply eject the disc as unrecognized.
