Key Reset- Unable To Install

KrisButler63

Question

Went to re-install Roxio NXT Pro tonight, only to be presented with a message "This key has been used too many times..". I read on line that installs are limited to 10, however I have only used it on one machine- does reinstalling on same OS/Hardware/machine still count as fresh install? I have re-imaged my image several times over last 18mnths. Is it possible to get key count reset, bearing in mind a) I am out of the 14days warranty/tech support and B) trying to find a link to get support on Corel/Roxio without a support ID is near impossible!!. My Roxio NXT was brought directly from Roxio, and have receipts/order # if needed.Any advice gratefully received!

There is a maximum of 10 activation's. Most people who have to re-install over and over again are experiencing the "Rolling Back" issue.. where the installation fails to complete for whatever reason and the installer rolls back. But at this point, you have already entered your key and used up one of your activation attempts.

Corel/Roxio really needs to start fixing these install issues OR allow more install attempts.

But, if you are re-imaging allot - then this software is not for you.

The limit of 10 installs is to prevent piracy.

Oh and one other thing I forgot to mention. From what I know, Corel is moving or has moved to a subscription service for the Corel DRAW X6 product. This means people can login to their subscription from within DRAW and this way it doesn't require activation keys. If they do this for the next version of Creator - this would solve the problem you are having.

Fingers crossed.

What use is that is one wants to run without being connected?
