Cant Access Main Menu

Have just started to have a look at Toast 11. Following tutorial - choose video project, DVD then press finish and toast unexpectedly quits and then i have to restore windows and am back to the start ie opening menu. Have reinstalled the pref and plist relaunched a few times and well got busy so now am outa 14 day support and stuck. Any ideas

I have no idea why that would happen. At the bottom left of that window uncheck the box next to "Show this window when Toast opens." Click the close window button at the top left of the window (or relaunch Toast). You should now see the regular Toast project window where you can select Video and then choose DVD-video.

 

There are a couple known reasons for Toast crashes. One is if certain audio or video devices are connected to the Mac (usually via Firewire) that Toast doesn't recognize properly. The other is if there are xvid codecs present in a Library>QuickTime folder. Those codecs are obsolete.

thanks will give it a go and also thinking of uninstalling - will this get rid of everything if i follow uninstall RTFD
