Jim_Hardin
There is only ONE driver for EVD 3, so I suggest you do not try something grasping for straws Try doing a Proper Repair: First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc. Unplug your Roxio Video Capture Device and put it aside until you are completely finished. Now insert your Roxio Disc. Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows) When you reach the screen where Repair is offered, choose that! When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot. I hope you Meant Composite hookup (Y/W/R) and not Component (PR, PB & Y)

Jim_Hardin
Something is wrong! Try a completly different source, a DVD or BD Player or S-Video is you have one.
Jim73
Well i tried a different VHS player it was 2-3 years older then my newer Zenith VHS player i first tried. I got audio and video to work and recorded my first old football tape with no hiccups. If anyone is having problems with no video try another VHS player it worked for me!!! ogdens
If you have one of the new DVD/VCR combo units it may be just a setting that is wrong. If you want to persue this further, give us the Model # of your Zenith unit.
Jim73
Both are Zenith VCR's and the first one that did not work is model Zenith 4 head auto tracking VR 4235 HF the other that worked is Zenith VRJ415.
ogdens
Could not find any manuals for VR 4235, but did find one for VRD 4235. Its a very basic unit (which is fine), and nothing out of the ordinary jumps out as a source of your problem. So stick with the VRJ415.
Jim_Hardin
What ogdens was nibbling at is that with many of the combo units you actually have to SET the output... It will be found in the system menu Of course if you can just use the other that would be great!
