Roxio Nxt Pro 2 Wizard Was Interrupted And Rolls Back

FleetAngel

Question

I see that I am not the only one having problems with the installation of NXT Pro 2 failing and rolling back. I have given up on the installation of NXT Pro 2 and requested a refund. That said, in the upgrade attempt, NXT Pro was uninstalled and now I cannot even reinstall NXT Pro from DVD without receiving the same interruption and rollback error. Technical support for this problem is non-existent and it took three attempts to obtain a refund. That said, I would still like to get my original NXT Pro reinstalled. I think I have read everything available on this site about the problem, have reinstalled Direct X and the DotNet Framework but still have not succeeded in solving the problem. I am attaching the log files in hopes there is some information there that will help identify the problem. I my be a computer professional, but every time if try to make sense of the log files, I suffer from information overload. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Just a suggestion---If you have the installation disk (DVD) as you suggested in your original post for NXT Pro, place it in your drive and copy all of the files to a particular folder on your computer. Then go to that folder and try and install NXT Pro from there rather than directly from the DVD. And that's always a good idea anyway in case the DVD gets lost.

Thanks for all the suggestions and tips - the help is appreciated. Finally resolved the problem in a remote session with Roxio Technical Support last evening. I wasn't able to keep up and so am not sure what magic was used to fix the problem. The good news is that we were successful in getting NXT Pro reinstalled so after many hours of frustration, I have recovered from my attempt to upgrade to NXT Pro 2 and am back where I started.
