Toast Question - Mac - Amazon

Hi,

 

I'm lookin to get toast 11 for my mac and I want to be able to convert my camera video over to burn on blu ray in HD.

 

I've seen some guides on how to do it. I just want to make sure I can buy/use the blu ray plugin for :

Thanks for any help you guys can provide. I can't seem to find the info at all here on the roxio website, nor is there anywhere to call/contact (everything needs product numbers, I want to know BEFORE I buy!)

You either need to get Toast 11 Pro or buy the Blu-ray plugin as an extra to the standard Toast 11. Toast 11 Pro is a much-better buy because of the extra apps that are included. Do you have a Blu-ray disc burner? If not Toast can create Blu-ray format HD videos on regular and dual-layer DVDs but the total length is less because of the smaller disc capacity.

 

The processing to make a Blu-ray video disc takes a long time. It's the kind of thing you let your Mac work on over night. Choose Save as Disc Image instead of clicking the Burn button so you don't have to start from scratch if something goes wrong during the burn. The disc image is burned to disc in Toast's Copy window.

I'm mostly wondering because I need to burn blu rays here from cam and if I'd be able to get that, plus the plugin to work.

The link you posted is to the non-Pro version of Toast. It does not include the Blu-ray plugin and you'd have to buy that separately if you don't buy the Pro version. You can see the difference in these versions in Roxio's Products pages.

 

It should do what you want if you have the Blu-ray plugin.
