How To Remove Menus

Hi I was wondering if someone can tell me how to remove menus. my old easy cd dvd burning for WinXP/7 had the option to have no menus. I have 5 clips and wanted to merge them into 1 clip so I dont have to click each menu to veiw the clips. PS I had to upgrade ECD/DVD to be compatable with Win 8. Thanks

Are you wanting to remove menus from completed projects, David, or are you looking to find the option to have no menus in the latest version [v 14] ?

Yes I have version 14, the version before had a dropdown to select no menus.I burnt a dvd before on the old version and had to click each clip to view.then i discovered the no menu option and was able to merge all the clips into 1 movie.Now it seems version 14 doesnt have that option unless there is a setting im missing, so yeah im looking for that option in version 14

I forgot to mention no this isnt for completed projects.Im trying to do new projects

Hi David, all good.

 

In MyDVD go up to the top toolbar to File > New Project > DVD, no menus.

 

 

Strange, isn't it. However it does the trick.

Whenever you open MyDVD you should get this Pop up screen:

 

 

I usually blow right past it and end up using the method Brendon posted

I have the same question as David re the "No Menu" option in Roxio Easy Burn.

From that advised by Brendon this option does not appear in the current version??.

 

Roxio refuse to offer any support so anu anyone can offer will be appreciated.

It would be much better if your started anew thread and explain the problem your are having. The program has changed a lot over 8 years

You mention "Roxio Easy Burn" - there's no such software, so can you tell me what software you do have?

Is it Easy CD and DVD Burning (in Red Box), or Easy CD and DVD Burning 2, or Roxio Burn, or what?

Thanks Brendon and much appreciated. Apols if I did not make mine clear.

I have both Easy Burn 2 (Red Box) and Creator NXT5.

When I use either they default to Roxio My DVD and this is where I get stuck with the Menus bit as both appear to use the same Roxio  software???.

Appreciate any you can offer.

 

Kind regards and as mentioned NO assistance from Roxio Support despite 3 request and 3 wasted phone calls that just ring out after 20 mins??.

Just an update that as I have not had any updates from the Forum members NOR Roxio I had been forced to buy an alternative program to complete my tasks.

Hello Brent,

I have been trying to get back to help you, but can't do everything at once.  You know the story - "Miracles done immediately, but impossibilities take a little longer" 

In any event, as far as I've been able to determine the Corel version of MyDVD does not allow users to author a DVD without a menu.    The older Roxio MyDVD could do this, but Corel substituted their version some years ago, and it can't.

Easy CD and DVD Burning 2 is a reduced-ability [cut-down] version of Creator NXT 7, so as far as I can see they have the same version of MyDVD.   If you bought Easy CD and DVD Burning 2  direct from Roxio less than 30 days ago, you might consider returning it for a refund.

I hope this has been some small help.   I tried.

Hi Brendon and appreciate yours and no pressure on you, just frustrated with Roxio and their approach to customer service.

Noted re the "cut down version BUT it still does not work in my Creator NXT5.

Now very happy with my new Wondershare DVD Creator and it works well, with or without Menu.
