Problems Burning From An Iso - Moved From An Unrelated Topic

I have tried to burn to CDs using Roxio burn ISO and it always gets stuck at 98%. I have both a DVD/RW +/- and a Blue-Ray burner - failed in both. Then gets stuck in the "cancel" mode and I have to reboot. I tried windows 7 disc image burner and no problems. Same media, same ISO, same drives. In my estimation, Roxio USED to put out good product (mounting CD for writing without having to do a complete format before in Win98 / XP) but it has been declining in quality ever since. This is a love-hate relationship: I used to love it, now I hate it.

 

I also have an issue with the tech support. This is NOT a free product, nor is it inexpensive. 14 days support on installation issues only... REALLY???

We have seen a few that are just plain trouble!

 

An easy test is to Create one in Roxio, then burn it to an RW/RE.

I have burned many, many DVDs that stop at 98% and have always finished the burn. And that's both burning directly to the blank DVD media and also via an ISO. Depending what I am burning and how large it is depends on how long the wait is from the 98% to finishing the burn. Much of the burn process at the end is closing the disk and again depending on what you are burning will usually dictate how long it takes.
