Dvd Burned And Will Not Play In Dvd Players

Deanna10

Question

I'm so angry… can not find any way to contact Roxio!!! They did an update on toast pro 11, and now the dvd's I'm burning will not play in my dvd players. As I am not exactly computer literate, I had been using this product successfully until the update today. I've never encoded before but since the normal way didn't work, I tried. No luck, I also clicked on the auto start option another site said to try, no luck. Someone said to try uninstalling and re installing as it could be settings screwed up, but can not locate my disc at present time, since I purchased it a year ago. I'm beside my self with anger that there is NO contact number for this company. Any one have suggestions????? Thanks

I can understand your being upset but you provided little information other than the DVDs don't play. I don't know where to start to help in troubleshooting this. Do you backup your Mac? If so you can copy back the earlier version of Toast that you were using.

I can't give any other info, I did the update and now my dvd's I burn will only play in one of the 4 dvd players I have, unlike before the update it played in all of them. Hence, my anger and confusion. No we don't do a back up but I have locoed the disc and will try to uninstall and re install the toast. Hopefully, without the update. I just think it's ridiculous that there is no real way to contact roxio for this type of occasion. As I've seen w/ most every update the companies do for computers, it seems it almost always creates an issue somewhere.
