It didnt work.. :/ i tried this all on my older laptop. i clicked on capture and it opened the capture window but i am not able to record with it, because it's working too slow.

Maybe some other program is interrupting it. I heard about something called "dxdiag". with that, people are able to see the problems.

do you got any advice?

Doesn't seem like your PC would be the problem, assuming that you have not applied ANY tweaks or "enhancements" to the CPU and/or the GPU ^_^

Next and last step:

Unplug your RGC Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

Download and install the
Uninstaller. Then run it in
Moderate Mode
to remove any traces of Roxio.

Create a New User Account with Administrator Privileges.

Turn OFF any A/V & Firewall.

Reboot and log on to that new account.

Copy your entire disc to a new folder on your HDD.

In that new folder, right click on Setup.exe and select Properties.

Under the Compatibility tab, make sure
nothing
is checked!

Right click Setup.exe and select Open.

Allow it to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio not Windows)

Use the Default Locations!

If that don't work, time to Format C:\ :D

The owner of the roxio came to me and we installed it again together but we had still the same problem.

We road many other topics with the same problem and I think no one from them could start the "capture" application :/

We did everything step for step...

I tried to install Win XP 64bit on VirtualBox again. Now it works fine- FOR 10 SECONDS. The capture window thingy shows up and all. But after these 10~ seconds, the XP freezes and i have to shut down virtualbox. My Non-Virtual Win7 works fine. The problem is inside Roxio I guess. And do you got any advise for that?

(Specs for Virtualbox)

WinXP 64bit

4096MB Ram out of 8 GB Ram

Chip: PIIX3

IO-APIC Activated

Processors: 3 out of 6

VT-x/AMD-V Activated

128mb out of 128mb Graphic Card Cache (I think thats how it's called)

1 Screen used

HDD: 20,25GB Normal (VDI) out of 700GB~

Disc-thingy 'E:' (For Roxio CD) (Passtrough activated)

Audiodriver: Windows DirectSound

Audiocontroller: ICH AC97

Networkadapter Activate

Connected to NAT

USB Controller Activated

Filter for USB-Devices: FUJITSU MICROELECTRONICS TRANSCODER [0100](I guess it's the Roxio device)

If I missed something, let me know. I also want to try to make a new partition and install Win XP64bit directly in it.

Make sure you have eveything set to normal on your PC... (CPU & GPU Settings) Tweaking, Overclocking, etc. is death to Roxio Programs ;)

Then follow these steps:

This is extensive, but it what I suggest...
