I'm pretty sure no capture card works with the PS4 at this current time, but a patch will be released at a later date. The Xbox one however will work with this card out of the box.

Not quite true...

An Xbox will only work if you use Component cable...

Hook an Xbox up with HDMI and it will not record!

(Actually no capture card will record any HDMI input that has HDCP coding)

Until such 'promised patch' is released about the only way to make it work is to use something to convert it to Component... -_-

Don't you mean PS3, Jim? ;)

Connect a console specific Component AV cable** to the A/V port of the console. An HDMI connection is not possible from the PS3 due to HDCP (Sony protected) video out.

Does anyone know if they make a PS4 console specific Component AV cable and or where you can buy one?

Or will a PS3 console specific Component AV cable work with PS4?

No, read the quoted text. That user indicated an Xbox will work...

True ONLY if you are using Component but Wrong with HDMI.

And NO, the PS4 ONLY has an HDMI outlet! (Sony has gone over to the Dark Side)

Want to look at that again? :)

Xbox Setup

Power off the Xbox 360. Connect an HDMI cable* to the HDMI port of the Xbox. Next, plug the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI IN port on the Roxio GameCAP HD PRO device.

Connect another HDMI cable between the output on the Roxio GameCAP HD PRO device and the HDMI input at the back or side of your TV.

Connect the included USB cable between the output on the Roxio GameCAP HD PRO device and the USB2.0 port of your laptop or PC.

Playstation Setup

Power off the PlayStation 3. Connect a console specific Component AV cable** to the A/V port of the console. An HDMI connection is not possible from the PS3 due to HDCP (Sony protected) video out. Next, plug the color corresponding Component Video and RCA Audio cables to the inputs on the Roxio GameCAP HD PRO device.

Connect either an HDMI cable or the color corresponding Component Video Cables between the outputs of the Roxio GameCAP HD PRO device and the HDMI or Component Video inputs at the back or side of your TV. If you have a Component video cable connection, connect the color corresponding RCA Audio cables between the outputs of the Roxio GameCAP HD PRO device and the Audio inputs at the back or side of your TV.

Connect the included USB cable between the output on the Roxio GameCAP HD PRO device and the USB2.0 port of your laptop or PC.

I just looked and didn't see anything "current" that says they fixed this... When did you get your PS4?

STILL is should show up on your TV!

Make sure you have your TV set to that specific HDMI port it is using and not some auto detect setting.

Also, test it using a DVD or BD Player to see if that works!

Test this out first! Otherwise the only Capture workaround due to the HDCP coding is to use an HDMI to Composite Converter ($$) :(
