Generate Chapter Menus in My DVD?

I've marked chapters in my 36 minute movie. Now I want those chapters in a sub-menu. I searched these boards and found a post that said to right click on the movie and that I would then have an option to edit chapters and another option to check a box to automatically generate chapter menus. I don't have this box in the window that pops up in version 9. Is there another way to do it?

Explain how you marked the chapters to begin with. Step by Step type details would be helpful.

With the DVD menu on the screen, I right clicked on the button for the movie. One of the pull downs is "Edit Chapters". I clicked on that. Another window popped up that allowed me to select each chapter cued to the proper point in the movie.

 

I found a post under version 8 that actually had a picture of this window in it. At the bottom of that window, there was a box to check "automatically create chapter menu" or something similar. Well, that box is not in the wndow for v. 9.

On the lower left of the "Edit Chapters" window, would you be able to see a form labelled with "Automatic Create Chaptes" and the 3 options to create chapters?

That chapter window should like like the following one, with the option you use circled in Red. Does yours not look like this?

No, mine DOES NOT look like that. Instead of the option circled in Red, it says "Update Chapter Menus." Was this changed in version 9 for some reason? Confusing.

You will get UPDATE CHAPTER MENUS if you have chosen a video that ALREADY had chapter marks. What it is asking is do you want to change the exsisting marks OR add the new marks to the existing list of marks.

...And create/update the chapter menu.

 

So whether the verbage is like in the screenshot, or is the "update" one, in any case when it is checked chapter menu(s) will be created.
