Dvd's No Longer Playing

Question

Ever since I updated the Toast software to the latest version, the DVD's I burn no longer play in my dvd player. The dvd player doesn't recognize the dvds as "playable" at all. None of the settings that I've used in the past have changed, and I've been using the software without any kind of problem for over a year. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I believe I've read other posts with that complaint. I just burned three DVDs that play fine. Have you recently updated your Mac's OS? Are you using the Mac's built-in optical drive? I wonder if something has gone amiss other than Toast. Try choosing Save as Disc Image from the Toast File menu and then burn the resulting .toast file to disc using the Image File setting in the Copy window. Be sure to use a good brand of blank disc (in other words, not Memorex).
