How To Remove Or Black Out Video But Keep The Audio?

Question

I have the Roxio 2012 Pro Video Wave.

I'm working on a NEW production. I inserted a short video clip. I would like to keep the audio in this clip but either black out or remove the video.

Can someone help me?

Thank you!

Larry

You cannot remove the video and just keep the audio but you can extract just the audio to a separate audio file. Right-click on the video and from the drop-down menu select "extract audio"

DG,

Thank you for that reply.

Is there an option for blacking out PART of a video, say covering up the subtitles?

DG,

What do you mean by subtitles? Are you talking about subtitles as in commercial movies or are you talking about "captions text" that is part of the video.

If the former then there is nothing you can do about that since they are controlled by a DVD player. For the latter you can black them out with the help of overlays.
