Thos mov files have to be converted to mpg2 before they can be added if you want to make a DVD that will play on a DVD player. There are several free converters; check c/net for recommendations. I use one called "Any Video Converter" but there are others.

If that Canon records high definition video, it will need to be converted to standard definition (720 by 480). You would need a different program, a blu ray burner and player and blu ray discs to burn a high definition blu ray disc. The steps are the same however.

Steve is correct, it will not accept HD files!

One Alternative to a BD Burner... It you bought the Creator NXT Plus you could put AVCHD (hd) Projects onto a DVD but you would still need a BD Player to view them...

The BD Burner/Player is the only way to do justice for the files from your Canon but think about it a bit before you make a decision ;)

The current version of Easy CD & DVD Burning claims to handle .MOV files, so your MyDVD 14 should be able to handle and do the required conversion to make DVDs as long as the .MOV files aren't too high definition.
