I tried intalling the cd,and part way thru a window popped up saying "a problem occured and it had to shut down". I read that there is a patch needed,but can't find it. I have a Dell Dimension 2350 desktop runing WinXP. Please help

I doubt very much if any patch would help - I think your Dell is just too old to run the EV2D

I'm sorry, I meant that the program was installed, but wont open

Your Dell has either a Pentium or Celeron CPU Processor...

 

IF you have the Celeron, it isn't going to work!

 

To find out what is under the hood, Press combination keys of Win-Pause and look at the specifications.

 

If you do have the Pentium, then try these steps:

 

First thing to do is to turn off your Anti Virus, Firewalls, Registry Cleaners, etc.

 

Unplug your Roxio Capture Device and put it aside until you are completely finished.

 

Now insert your Roxio Disc.

 

Be sure you accept the offer to Check for Updates (this is for Roxio, not Windows)

 

When you reach the screen where

Repair

is offered, choose that!

 

When the Repair competes, turn your AV & Firewall back on and reboot.
